Vacation Rental Description

If you have ever pictured yourself sitting on a screened-in porch looking down on the glistening sun-lit water of one of the most beautiful lakes in the Mountains, this is the place for you. Our Split Rail Lake House is the perfect place to gather friends and family and make amazing memories. It sits on Lake Glenville, a pristine lake located just 8 miles from Cashiers, in the North Carolina mountain rain forest, the lake has 26 miles of shoreline and is the highest elevation of any lake east of the Mississippi. This home sits on a hill looking down on the lake. You enter the home to an open floor plan; the fully equipped kitchen is to the right with a large island, and tons of windows letting in lots of natural light. The updated kitchen features granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. The adjacent great room has soaring tongue and groove ceilings and walls of glass that offer a spectacular view of the lake. The living room has hardwood floors, luxurious overstuffed leather furniture a 55” flat screen smart TV, and a stone fireplace. The glass doors open to an expansive screened in porch with ample seating and a Wolff Professional grill. The entry level guest room features a queen sized bed, an adjacent bath with shower that also serves as a powder room for this floor. This room also has a sliding glass door out onto the deck overlooking the lake. The upstairs offers a master bedroom with a king sized bed, private balcony overlooking the lake, and a 50” flat screen TV and a private master bath with shower/tub combination. There is also a second queen guest room with high ceilings, a flat screen TV with a full bath on this level. The lower level features another living area with a large couch that seats 6+, 65" television, gas fireplace and pool table. The bedroom has a Queen bed and twin bunk beds with a television. The bathroom features a double shower. There are doors to the outside with an infinity deck with lake views, seating area and hot tub. There is separate entrance to the very spacious “garage apartment” which holds two queen sized beds, large sliding glass doors that offer lots of light and a view of the lake. There are ceiling fans, flat screen TV and a private bath with shower/tub combination. There is also a kitchenette with a mini fridge, sink and microwave. This home also has a private dock located just a short walk down the driveway. There are 4 kayaks available, and you also have use of the garage.

Because all of our properties are individually owned, when you make a reservation for a specific accommodation we are obligated to keep your reservation for this same home. If you need additional room for more guests that would like to join you on your trip, you are welcome to call any of our vacation consultants at (866) 202-0723 to look at options for a 2nd accommodation that may be nearby your original choice. If you would like to change your choice of home altogether, we must follow the standard cancellation policy outlined in your terms and conditions and start a new reservation for your new choice.
No, we do not. However, we do offer some homes and condos that are ground level or provide elevators for easy access.
Yes, we do offer a selection of pet-friendly accommodations for an additional non-refundable pet fee.
While beach equipment may be provided in some properties, it is not provided in every property. Beach equipment may be rented through several local vendors.
• Two rolls of toilet paper per restroom • One box of tissue per restroom • One small facial/bath soap per restroom • One roll of paper towels in the kitchen • Seven dishwasher detergent pods • One small bottle of liquid dish soap • One pot scrub pad • Several trash bags per receptacle • Two to four appropriate laundry machine soap pods if the unit has a washer and dryer
Parking at our rental properties is complimentary for guests occupying the unit. Free parking may be available at our check-in locations on a first-come, first-served basis for additional cars. Motor homes, boat trailers, travel trailers, Jet Skis, etc., are not allowed at the rental properties. There are local facilities that can provide parking for these vehicles.
Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. for condos, and 4:00 p.m. for houses. Check-out time is 10:00 a.m.
Early check-in and late check-out times may be requested but are not guaranteed. If a late check-out request is granted, the time will be extended to 12:00 p.m. and an additional fee will be charged as follows: Condominiums: $50 Homes: $100 Departures later than the allotted 12:00 p.m. check-out time will require a full day payment.
Pick up your keys at the designated Royal Shell office indicated in your emailed confirmation letter.
