Vacation Rental Description

Tulip Pond is located high on the mountain top of the Chinquapin close to Panthertown Valley that has 6,000+ acres of designated hiking trails and waterfalls. Enter through the gate at "The Outpost" to a warm and welcoming community. This home has all the charm of a mountain home with the luxuries of comfort. Walk up the stone steps through the front door to enter into the open living area. The living room has a large flat screen with DirecTV, grand stone gas fireplace and a half bath. The dining tables seats 8 guests and the kitchen has lovely stainless steel appliances, breakfast bar, wine cooler and Keurig coffee maker. The outside deck is covered and screened in for ultimate comfort with gas grill. Relax as you enjoy looking at the pond and the nature surrounding! On the main floor there is a bedroom with a queen bed with an en-suite bath with dual sinks and walk in glass-door shower. Follow the stairs up to the loft with wood paneled ceilings and overlooking the large stone fireplace of the living room. In the loft there is a small desk and a day bed with trundle. Off of the loft a bedroom has a king bed with a TV with a guest bathroom with dual sinks and a walk in glass-door shower. A lower level leads to another living room with a large flat screen with DirecTV, gas fireplace and an L-shaped couch and a multifunctional 4 in 1 Game Table - Pool, Ping Pong, Poker and Dining. Great for those family and friend gatherings! A bedroom with a queen and 2 sets of bunk beds (totaling 4 twin beds) are also on the lower level. There is also a bathroom downstairs with dual sinks and a walk in glass-door shower. You can access the outside through the downstairs living room as well. The pond out back is stocked and is a great opportunity to practice your fishing abilities, or just relax and enjoy the classic outdoor fun by the firepit. There is construction in the community from 9am - 5pm. 

Guests can use the kayaks at the lake by The Trading Post, fish catch and release, driving range, hiking trails. There are maps at The Trading Post. HOA does not allow to bring motorcycles, ATVs or UTVs into the community. 

Chinquapin amenities include monthly outpost summer social events (food, music), Putt Putt course, 18 hole Frisby Golf, Driving range, Pickle Ball courts, Horseshoe pit, and on premises 23 miles of hiking trails, 6 waterfalls, and guests can rent electric bicycles to ride around the community! 

Your reservation includes a damage protection plan. The damage protection plan is $40, and it covers up to $3,000 in damages. In lieu of purchasing the damage protection plan, guests have the option to choose a refundable security deposit. If you would like to pay a refundable security deposit, please contact us. The security deposit is $3,000 and will be administered subject to the NC Tenant Security Deposit Act.

Because all of our properties are individually owned, when you make a reservation for a specific accommodation we are obligated to keep your reservation for this same home. If you need additional room for more guests that would like to join you on your trip, you are welcome to call any of our vacation consultants at (866) 202-0723 to look at options for a 2nd accommodation that may be nearby your original choice. If you would like to change your choice of home altogether, we must follow the standard cancellation policy outlined in your terms and conditions and start a new reservation for your new choice.
No, we do not. However, we do offer some homes and condos that are ground level or provide elevators for easy access.
Yes, we do offer a selection of pet-friendly accommodations for an additional non-refundable pet fee.
While beach equipment may be provided in some properties, it is not provided in every property. Beach equipment may be rented through several local vendors.

Parking at our rental properties is complimentary for guests occupying the unit. Free parking may be available at our check-in locations on a first-come, first-served basis for additional cars. Motor homes, boat trailers, travel trailers, Jet Skis, etc., are not allowed at the rental properties. There are local facilities that can provide parking for these vehicles.
Check-in time is 3:00 p.m. for condos, and 4:00 p.m. for houses. Check-out time is 10:00 a.m.
Early check-in and late check-out times may be requested but are not guaranteed. If a late check-out request is granted, the time will be extended to 12:00 p.m. and an additional fee will be charged as follows: Condominiums: $50 Homes: $100 Departures later than the allotted 12:00 p.m. check-out time will require a full day payment.
Pick up your keys at the designated Royal Shell office indicated in your emailed confirmation letter.
